2/15/13 Lake Tahoe

We had two clients that wanted to catch and release Mackinaw today. We did that for sure we hooked 33 fish and landed 20 of those. All on Glow in the Dark spoons around 260’ deep in 300’ of water. We have the same guys with us tomorrow and plan to fish the East Shore for Browns and Rainbows before going back for the deep Mackinaw. The other news of the day is the loss of a wheel bearing this morning. Thankfully we have an extra trailer at home and our son-in-law Steve willing to drop everything and bring it to me.

11/2/12 Sacramento River (Clarksburg Area)

Today we fish out of Clarksburg on the Sacramento River with Eric and Matthew Snyder. Our mission today was for Matthew to catch his first salmon. Shortly into our first pass we hooked up. Matthew brought this fish about half way in and off it went. We got the lines back out and within 200 yards we hooked up again. This time Matthew landed his first salmon that weighed in around 9 or 10 pounds. After that we went into a two hour dry spell. Finally we hooked up again and Matthew’s dad Eric landed a nice bright salmon that went around 15 pounds. Half way through our last pass the sea lions started showing up so we finished that pass and called it a day. Both fish were caught on plugs with sardine wrap.

10/10/12 Feather River

Lisa Rogers with her first Feather River Salmon. Lisa and her husband Nick went out for an afternoon trip. They are also the owners of Skippers Cove Marina on Englebright Lake. Our fish were caught on Kwikfish and dragging Pautzke Cured eggs.
